Fishing in Cuba, Cayo Guillermo 2010

Since our last fishing trip at Cayo Guillermo in 2005, lot of things has changed. Fishing in Guillermo channel by boat was a new experience, we finally discovered the intricacies of Guillermo lagoon.

The tropical heat had disappeared, yes, we needed warm clothes in Cuba. A persistent winds from North had greatly reduced our possibility to go fishing every day. Rough sea and winds had changed water clarity, all fish had stopped biting. We tried everything but they remained hidden in bottom. "La pesca es malo!". then the bottom fishing became our only way to escape these bad weather conditions.
